Manny Katz is the founder of Out West Studios, a production company producing commercial video work from branded content to corporate and promotional film; grounded in a documentary eye for real people and real places.

Alongside his production work, Manny directs Eyrelab, a South Australian marine restoration nonprofit rebuilding native shellfish reefs along the Eyre Peninsula. What began as Coffin Bay Scuba Co., the dive charter business he launched in 2021 after relocating from California, led to the discovery of Australia's largest known shellfish reef - and, in partnership with Adelaide University, a research and restoration program now working toward 25 new oyster reefs across South Australia.

His work has been recognised with the Young Achiever Award at the 2025 South Australian Tourism Awards and the Rural and Regional Award at InDaily's 2026 40 Under 40, and Eyrelab's reef restoration program received Bronze Tier funding in the 2025 Australian Geographic Awards for Nature.
